The Panasonic Lumix G80 sets a new standard in camera technology with its revolutionary 5-axis Dual I.S. MK II Image Stabilisation system. By incorporating cutting-edge gyro-sensor technology, the Optical Image Stabiliser (O.I.S., 2-axis) and Body Image stabiliser (B.I.S., 5-axis) work in perfect harmony to deliver unparalleled accuracy. To further reduce unwanted vibration, the Panasonic Lumix G80 comes with an electromagnetic drive in the shutter unit. This drastically reduces the shock caused by the movement of the shutter diaphragm and minimises shutter sound. Additionally, the front panel is made of solid magnesium, reducing shutter vibration by approximately 90% compared to its predecessor, the G7.

Equipped with a 16.0-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor and the new Venus Engine, the Lumix G80 lets users capture vibrant and true-to-life high-quality images. With excellent resolution, high contrast, impressive colour reproduction, and a maximum ISO sensitivity of 25600, every shot is a masterpiece.

By removing the Low Pass Filter from the Lumix G80's sensor, the limiting resolution is improved by approximately 10%. The Venus Engine enhances the reproduction of vivid and impressive colours by finely adjusting hue, saturation, and luminosity individually. This level of fine-tuning allows users to choose pre-set options for contrast, sharpness, saturation, and noise reduction that best suit their environment and shooting style.

Panasonic's LUMIX G cameras are well-known not only for their still image quality, but also for their exceptional video capabilities in 4K. The LUMIX G80 delivers stunningly smooth and high-resolution QFHD 4K video in 3840x2160 at 25p (50Hz) or 24p in MP4 format, as well as full-HD 1920 x 1080 at 50p (50Hz) videos in AVCHD Progressive or MP4 (MPEG-4 / H.264) format with full-time AF.

With its remarkable 4K video recording capability, users can now extract an 8-megapixel still image with exact precision. This revolutionary 4K Photo function ensures that no fleeting moment goes unnoticed, allowing photographers to capture that perfect shot by selecting the exact frame they desire from the recorded 4K video footage.

In addition to the 4K Photo function, the Panasonic Lumix G80's contrast AF system boasts even faster and more precise focusing, thanks to digital signal communication at a maximum of 240 fps. Panasonic has further enhanced the Contrast AF system with the integration of Depth From Defocus (DFD) technology, which significantly shortens the focusing time.

Even if your focus isn't what you intended when you press the shutter, the LUMIX G80's Post Focus function allows you to select the specific focal point after shooting. This is particularly helpful in situations like macro photography, where precise focusing is required.

Taking a single macro photo with specific areas in focus can be challenging. The Focus Stacking feature of the Lumix G80 enables you to take multiple images of the same frame with different aperture values. These images are then combined into one, and you can select the desired area to be in focus.

Whether you're photographing wildlife at dawn or dusk or in extremely low-lit conditions (-4EV), this compact mirrorless camera lets you perfectly capture subjects with the Low Light AF feature. The Lumix G80 is built to withstand the rigours of heavy field use. Its rugged design, featuring a full die-cast magnesium front frame, ensures durability in any situation or terrain. Additionally, the camera is splash and dustproof, thanks to careful sealing on every joint, dial, and button.

To further enhance control, the Lumix G80 comes with an ergonomically-designed thick grip for a stable hold, even when shooting with one hand, while the front/rear dual dial system allows for direct setting adjustments. For example, when dealing with complex lighting situations, users can adjust white balance with a front dial and ISO with a rear dial while choosing the shutter speed or monitoring the noise effect on the rear screen.

The Lumix G80 comes with a large 2,360K-dot OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) LVF (Live View Finder) with a magnification ratio of approximately 1.48x / 0.74x (35mm camera equivalent) and a 100% field of view. This compact mirrorless camera also delivers a 10,000:1 high contrast for exceptional visibility, a high speed response with a minimum time lag of less than 0.01 seconds, and an eye point of roughly 20 mm for high visibility and comfort even for users wearing glasses.

The LVF features a Power Save Mode, which conserves battery life by automatically entering sleep mode when your eye moves away from the viewfinder. The camera automatically switches to sleep mode after 3, 5, or 10 seconds if the sensor detects that the eye has moved away from the LVF. When the shutter button is half-pressed, the camera instantly returns to shooting mode again. This power saving feature can increase the number of shots that can be taken with a single charge by almost three times, from 320 to 800-900.

The camera's 3-inch, 1040K-dot, free-angle rear screen adopts a static-type touch control system, allowing for easy, intuitive control and an enhanced shooting experience. The screen also tilts vertically by 270 degrees, making it effortless to capture shots from overhead or at low angles.
