The Sony FX3 is designed for solo shooters, travel applications, and as an ideal B cam. It combines features from both the Cinema Line and Alpha series of cameras to create a portable cinema camera. The FX3 features all the imaging attributes you'd expect from this class but has a new lightweight, handheld form with a streamlined profile. It also has a "cage-free" design, allowing you to secure various accessories directly to the camera body.

The Sony Alpha FX3 (ILME-FX3), the most compact camera in the Sony Cinema Line is particularly suited to solo-shooting. Its internal cooling allows the FX3 to shoot for an extended time.

Recording outstanding 4K full-frame quality at up to 120p with minimal rolling shutter, it also has excellent low light capabilities (up to 409,600 ISO), and has a wide dynamic range thanks to its 10.2 MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and new Bionz XR processor. The inclusion of S-LOG3 and S-CINETONE picture profiles means it combines seamlessly with the other Cinema line cameras from Sony.

The Sony FX3 provides more freedom for shooting videos with a fast and accurate Autofocus technology including Real-time Eye Autofocus. It also includes a 5axis in-body stabilization with Active Mode, which makes it ideal for handheld hots. On top of its small form factor, the Sony FX3 includes a detachable top-handle with XLR inputs for professional microphones or audio connections. A cage with the grip and screw options is already integrated in the body design.
