The Panasonic LUMIX GH Series has long been hailed as a groundbreaking innovation, delivering exceptional video recording capabilities that meet professional quality levels and standards. Building upon this legacy, the new Panasonic Lumix GH6 takes it a step further by introducing 5.7K 30p internal video recording in ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes 422 for the first time in the LUMIX series. This feature, made possible by the CFexpress Type B card, allows for non-linear editing without the need for transcoding.

The Lumix GH6 offers higher resolution and bit rates than any previous LUMIX series camera. With 5.7K 4:2:0 10-bit 60p/50p and 5.8K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:0 10-bit anamorphic 4:3 modes, the camera utilises the full sensor area to deliver stunning image and video quality. It also provides the most recent advances in image quality, versatility, and range for film, television, and all types of video production. Not only that, but the Lumix GH6 also supports 4:2:2 10-bit Cinema 4K 60p internal recording and simultaneous output in 4:2:2 10-bit Cinema 4K 60p over HDMI.

Creativity knows no bounds with the Panasonic Lumix GH6. It delivers 4:2:0 10-bit 4K 120p video recording, equivalent to 5x slow motion, and 4:2:2 10-bit FHD 240p HFR (High Frame Rate) video recording with audio is available to enable new techniques like speed ramping. With a maximum FHD of 300fps (equivalent to 12.5x slow motion) at VFR (Variable Frame Rate), the Lumix GH6 opens up endless possibilities for capturing the dynamic motion of a subject.

Overheating can be a major issue when continuously recording videos with high resolutions and frame rates, but the Panasonic LUMIX GH6 overcomes this challenge with its innovative heat-dissipating design and forced-cooling fan mechanism. As a result, the camera achieves unlimited video recording time in all modes, giving you the freedom to capture your vision without having to worry about overheating.

Unparalleled Image Stabilisation
For handheld shooting, the Lumix GH6 features a super high-precision 5-axis gyro sensor and a new algorithm that delivers an impressive 7.5 stops of Body I.S. and Dual I.S.2. With the 5-axis Dual I.S. 2, the camera seamlessly records natural, smooth and steady footage by compensating for various types of movement, whether it's panning, tilting, or hand-shake. The camera's B.I.S. corrects for movement even when using an interchangeable lens without O.I.S., such as a cine lens.

With the LUMIX GH6, even handheld ultra-telephoto shooting is possible, thanks to its powerful body image stabilisation and compact, lightweight design. You can also use the High-Resolution mode to shoot 100-megapixel high-resolution images without the need for a tripod. In this mode, eight consecutive images are automatically shot while shifting the sensor using the Body I.S. (Image Stabiliser) mechanism and then consolidated into a 100-megapixel equivalent (11552 x 8672-pixel) image that faithfully reproduces exact details to be saved as beautiful, true-to-life photos, both in RAW and JPEG format.

12-bit RAW video in [5.7K],[C4K],[Anamorphic (4:3) 5.8K],[Anamorphic (4:3) 4.4K] can be output to a Blackmagic Design monitor/recorder ''Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR'' over HDMI to be saved as Blackmagic RAW.
*Please refer to the Blackmagic Design website for information on the corresponding firmware version of the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR.
*DaVinci Resolve or DaVinci Resolve Studio is required to playback and edit Blackmagic RAW data.
*When the [Rec Quality] is set to 5.7K/60p (50p) or C4K/120p (100p) and recording to a Blackmagic Design recorder, it is recommended to set the codec quality on the recorder to the following:
- When recording to an SSD: constant bitrate 5:1 or less
- When recording to an SD card: constant bitrate 8:1 or less

Either C4K 120p/100p or 4K 120p/100p video can be output to an external device over HDMI.
