The GF63mm F2.8 R WR is the standard lens for the GFX system offering the 35mm equivalent to a 50mm optic. Like all the new GF lenses, the 63mm can deal with resolutions up to 100 megapixels, so image quality is exceptional.

Optically, the lens features ten elements in eight groups, with one extra-low dispersion element, and it's surprisingly compact and lightweight, measuring just 71mm in length and weighing 405g - that makes it ideal for all-day shooting on the GFX 50S.

Nine weather-resistant seals keep dust and moisture at bay, plus the GF63mm is guaranteed to operate in temperatures as low as -10°C; perfect for landscape and location photographers. Autofocus performance is impressive, thanks to the TTL Contrast AF system, with up to 425 points available, plus the lens features a sizeable manual focus ring.

The lens aperture ring features 22 click-stopped settings of 1/3EV each. On the same ring there is also an A setting that, used in conjunction with the shutter speed dial, allows selection of program and shutter priority exposure modes, plus a C setting that allows the aperture value to be set using a command dial on the camera body. Both the A and C settings are lockable.
