The Nano USM system combines a ring-type USM and an STM mechanism to provide quick, accurate, and nearly silent focusing, suitable for both photography and video applications. This system also allows full-time manual focus control in one-shot AF mode. Additionally, the lens features a configurable Control Ring that can adjust various exposure settings, including aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation.
