Live Cup Football Photographic Workshop – October 29th, 2024

Date: Tuesday, October 29th, 2024.

Venue: Mansfield Town FC, Bristol Street Motors Cup (Mansfield Town FC vs Newcastle United U21)

Tickets: 10 exclusive spots available at £149 each

Time: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM (or earlier depending on game outcome)

Parking: There is no parking currently at the club. If arriving by car, please use local car parks.

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to hone your sports photography skills at one of the most historic football grounds in the UK! This live-action workshop is your chance to photograph an intense cup game up close while learning from professional sports photographer Terry Donnelly.

What to Expect:

4:00 PM: Event begins with an insightful presentation from Terry Donnelly, sharing expert tips and insights into capturing the best football moments.

Pre-Match Access: Behind-the-scenes access, including the changing room, dugout, and pitchside. Photograph team captains, players, and coaches during pre-match activities.

7:00 PM Kickoff: Live game photography shoot exclusively in areas allocated by the club from the sidelines, as Mansfield Town FC takes on Newcastle United U21 in the Bristol Street Motors Cup. Rotate through key vantage points during the first and second halves. Any images taken on the day are to be used soley for personal use and not commercial use.

Half-Time Swap: Grab a coffee and pie (included in ticket price) and change shooting areas to capture a variety of angles and moments during the game.

Post-Match Access: Continue snapping as the Man of the Match is presented, and capture candid post-game reactions. If penalties decide the game, there’s even more action to shoot!

Requirements:

Bring a stool as you will not be allowed to stand whilst shooting. A monopod would also be an advantage.

Bring Your Own Cameras & Lenses – shoot with your own gear for maximum familiarity. Also bring your own SD card or CF Express card. Cards and accessories will be available to purchase on the day. Terry has suggested you bring 24-70mm, 70-200mm, 300mm and or 400mm.

If you don’t have these lenses or want to test any specific cameras or lenses from the leading brands? Let us know in advance, and we’ll try to provide them on the day. (loan cost included in ticket price)
